Description	:	William Walter Jones, 87, husband of Ina Mae (Elmore) Jones, died Thursday, June 2, 2005. Born in Simpsonville, SC, he was the son of the late Erastus D. and Zaida (Thackston) Jones. Retired from Southern Bleaching Works, he was a member of Durbin Creek Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving in addition to his wife are two granddaughters, Carrie Spurling and Kristy Earwood both of Alabama; three grandsons, Wendell E. Jones, Jr. of Florence, Gregory W. Jones of Taylors, Keith Jones of Alabama; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maggie Lou Goodwin. He was preceded in death... Jones (1940-1980) and a grandson, Mark A. Jones. The family expressed their appreciation to Assisting Angels for the care they provided. Visitation was held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services were in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in East North Street Baptist Church Cemetery.
