Obituary-William Ogle William Ogle died in a Steele City, Nebr., hospital on August 22, 1950, at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 7 days, after an illness of several years. He suffered a severe fall a few days previous to his death. William Ogle, the son of William and Orpha Hedrick Ogle, was born at Tarkio, Mo., on April 27, 1871. When only four years of age his father died and in his childhood days he had school privileges for only three years for his services were necessary to help provide for his mother and family. On January 31, 1905, he married Miss Emma A. Woltemath of Alexandria and they established their home on a farm near Alexandria where they lived for about seven years. They lived on a farm north of Fairbury for two yars and in Fairbury for over thirty years, where he was employed at the Rock Island round house during most of that time. They later lived with their daughter, Mrs. Harold Kulhanek at Helvey, for about seven years then near or in Steele City until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and their only child, Virneed, Mrs. Kulhanek of Steele City; a sisters, Mrs. George Shortridge of St. Joseph, Mo.; a brother, George Ogle of San Diego, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. A nephew, Carl Belser of Fairbury, lived in their home for many years and was always counted as one of the family. A grandons, Earl Kulhanek, lost his life in World War II. Funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian church in Steele City at 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 25, by the pastor, Rev. E. A. Ahrens, and burial was in the Steele City cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Gerht, John Gadden, Emmet Fuqua, George Groft, Jr., Fred Novotny and Rudolph Novotny. Nuckolls service. Those from out of town who attended the services included: Joe Hedrick, Mrs. Mary J. Bright and Mrs. Jessie Woltemath of Alexandria; Mrs. Lee Dragoo, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Charles Millby of Reynolds and a number from Fairbury.
