Description	:	Willis Edward Bear, age 60, passed away March 13, 2016, at his sister's home in Hydesville, CA. He was born December 25, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to Clarence and Mary (Brunk) Bear; who preceded him in death. He attended Robin Rogers School and was later employed at Marimor Industries where he had many friends and enjoyed going to work and getting his paycheck. Read More	Willis Edward Bear, age 60, passed away March 13, 2016, at his sister's home in Hydesville, CA. He was born December 25, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to Clarence and Mary (Brunk) Bear; who preceded him in death. He attended Robin Rogers School and was later employed at Marimor Industries where he had many friends and enjoyed going to work and getting his paycheck. It was very important to him to have money for the Sunday morning offering. He spent much time playing basketball, hauling wood, "writing" in his weather journal and listening to music, especially the old familiar hymns. He had a particular fear and dislike of cats and dogs and other furry creatures. He loved McDonald's hamburgers and French fries. He was well known for his love of music as well as for his vivid imitation of preaching and auctioneers. He very much enjoyed family gatherings and was fond of children, whom he treated with special tenderness, although at times they thought he was a little too helpful. After the passing of his parents he was lovingly cared for by his brothers and sisters in various communities in the U.S. and Canada, and had so many friends far and wide whose names, until recently, he could recall almost without fail. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Gaylord Lee Bear and two nieces, Mary Kathryn Birky and Lily Mae Mast. He is survived by four brothers and three sisters, George (Mary Ellen) Bear of Sugarcreek, OH, Raymond (Elmeda) Bear of Lake Butler, FL, Stanley (Virginia) Bear of Elida, OH, Ida (David) Mast of Lake Butler, FL, Louise (Ernest) Birky of Halsey, OR, Arvilla (Richard) Friesen of Hydesville, CA, Franklin (Judy) Bar of Duchess Alberta, One sister-in-law, Verba Bear of Hopewell, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 18, 2016, at New Home Christian Center, 2240 Baty Rd., Lima, Ohio 45807. Reverend John Brunk will Officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Harter and Schier Funeral Home and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
