J. and Lena McCue, was born March 13, 1898, at Minden, Nebraska, ad departed this life July 19, 1940, at Pawnee, Nebraska, at the age of 42 years, 4 months and 6 days. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Edgar, Nebraska, where he graduated from high school in 1918. On December 2, 1928, he was united in marriage at Norton, Kansas, to Doris Mary Cushing of Edgar. To this union two children were born, Barton, age 10, and Kermit, age 5. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Edgar, Nebraska, where he graduated from high school in 1918. On December 2, 1928, he was united in marriage at Norton, Kansas, to Doris Mary Cushing of Edgar. To this union two children were born, Barton, age 10, and Kermit, age 5. Willis had been in the grain business for 20 years. While living at Alexandria he joined the Presbyterian church. Since moving to Burchard he had transferred his membership to the Methodist church. He was a member of the Masonic lodge (sic), also a member of the town council. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and two sons, also his father of Grand Island Nebr.; three brothers, Bernard of Grand Island, and Earl and Cecil of Martin, South Dakota, and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Thomas of Edgar, Nebr., besides a host of other relatives and friends. His mother and one brother preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband and loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Methodist church (sic) at Burchard, Nebraska, and interment was made in the Burchard cemetery (sic).
