Services were June 16, at the Decatur United Methodist Church. She was born April 22, 1902, on a farm south of Craig in the Alder Grove area, to Arthur and Cora (Bovee) Clark. She graduated from Craig High School and Wesleyan University with a major in music education. She taught music in the public schools of Craig, Lyons, Decatur, and Tekamah in Nebraska and in Mondamin, Iowa. In 1958, she and Francis Hanson were united in marriage at Craig. They made their home in Decatur. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona three years ago, to be near her family. Memberships included the Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women at Craig and Decatur. While in the Craig church, she led the choir and at the Decatur parish, she served as organist for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Gibbs of Phoenix, Arizona; stepdaughters, Betty Farrens of Decatur, and Jeanette Hanson of Omaha; stepson Phillip Hanson of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Anna Phillips, and Marjorie Cooper, both of Colorado, Agnes Robertson of Lincoln, and Elizabeth Davis of Pennsylvania; brothers Leland Clark of Maryland and David Clark of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Rev. Charles A. bailey officiated. Helen Thomas was organist and Rod Baker was vocalist. Casket bearers were Rod Baker, Elmer Tippery, Lyle Tippery, Merle Farrens, Paul Phelps, and Don Worley. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur.
