Description	:	Arthur George Clark was born at Alder Grove, a rural community south of Craig, Nebraska on September 3, 1874 to Hiram Goodrich Clark and Elizabeth Whisinnand Clark. He attended Alder Grove School and a few years at Fremont Normal School. He married Cora Bovee of New England on March 8, 1900. He farmed at Alder Grove in Section 26, Washington Co. from prior to his marriage until his death in August 14, 1939. He raised purebred Hereford cattle and Berkshire hogs. He and Cora had ten children: Kenneth, Wilma, Agnes, Anna, Marjorie, Leland, Marion, Hiram, David and Elizabeth. All graduated... Nearly all attended some college. Kenneth graduated from the University of Nebraska. Most of the girls studied at teaching schools. Hiram and David served in World War II. Hi, as he was known, was in the Army Air Force and Dave served in the Navy. Hi was killed while flying in bad weather in the Battle of the Bulge in early January, 1945.
