Description	:	Wilma M. Hansen Wilma Marie (Remillard) Hansen, age 90, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa entered eternal life on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Wilma was born November 22, 1923 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse and Marie (Meyer) Remillard. Burial will follow in the Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Wilma was born November 22, 1923 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse and Marie (Meyer) Remillard. Growing up, Wilma attended school in Sioux Rapids. On March 22, 1945, Wilma was united in marriage to Charles Robert (Bob) Hansen in Spencer, Iowa. Together they were blessed with three children: Sondra, Julie, and Craig. Bob and Wilma shared 61 years of marriage. She was a marvelous cook and relished hosting her family for fried chicken or roast beef, potatoes and gravy dinners. She was known for her outstanding banana bread and brownies. Wilma was employed at Simonsen Iron Works and Nelson Products in Sioux Rapids. As her children grew up, she spent the majority of her life being a homemaker and mother. Time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the highlights of her life. Wilma provided care for Bob as his health declined prior to his entering the Sioux Care Center in November, 2005. Bob passed away on January 27, 2007. Wilma remained in their long-time home until March, 2011, when she entered the Sioux Care Center. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family which includes daughter Sondi (Brad) Raveling of Storm Lake, daughter Julie (Kermit) Schultze of Marathon and son Craig of Amarillo, Texas, sister Phyllis Braesch of Marathon, grandchildren Paulette (Coby) Newbold of Boone and Trish (Craig) Olinger of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, great-grandchildren Brenna, Brady, Grant, and Tyler Newbold of Boone and Bradford Olinger of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Marie Remillard, infant son James, husband Bob, brothers Wayne, Richard, and Calvin, sisters Velma, Vera, and Vesta, sisters-in-law Donna and Ellie Remillard, and brothers-in-law Alvin Rouse, Floyd Nelson, and Kenny Braesch.
