Adams, the daughter of Virgel and Ida (Kauffman) Morehead, was born on March 5, 1917 on a farm near Abdal, Nebraska. She passed away on December 6, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 1 day. She married Joe (Arlie) DaMoude on April 8, 1937. He preceded her in death on January 25, l969. They had two daughters. They farmed in the Nelson community. On January 14, 1975 she married Rolland Adams. They farmed near Nora until his death on January 27, 1980. She was a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, the Busy Bee Club, the Home Improvement Extension Club and the Presbyterian Women's Group. Wilma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands, and three sisters, Nova Morehead, Moina Maserang and Doris Sanders. She is survived by her daughters Joan Krabel and husband Gene of Hastings, Nebraska and Betty L Susa and husband Wayne of Moscow, Idaho; grandchildren, Julie Olsen and husband Derrik of Springdale, Arkansas, Teresa Williams and husband Mike of Sheridan, Wyoming, Brian Krabel and wife Shannon of Land O' Lakes, Florida, Kimberly McCown and husband Brent of Hastings, Nebraska, Derek Susa and wife Dana of Dubois, Wyoming, and Jolene Davis and husband Russ of Moscow, Idaho; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Morehead and wife Willa of Denver, Colorado and two sisters, Florence Rutt of Littleton, Colorado and Irene Strauss of Sun City, Arizona; along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ, Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating. Pallbearers were Don Alexander, Barry Alexander, Derek Susa, Brian Krabel, Derrik Olsen and Mike Williams. Honorary Pallbearers were Cary Strauss, Terry Sanders, Larry Sanders, Don Rutt, Dennis DaMoude and Leonard DaMoude. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska. Memorials in care of the family or to the Nelson Community United Church of Christ. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
