Description	:	W.G. "Dutch" Brown, 78, died June 17, 1992 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyo. Mr. Brown was born to John Richard and Margaret (McFall) Brown in Loveland on Dec. 16, 1913. He moved to Crook with his family in 1914 where he received his education and his family farmed. He married Irene Workman in Sidney, Neb. on Nov. 4, 1937. He farmed until 1956 when he went to work for the Logan County Assessor's office as an appraiser and moved to Sterling. He was later elected assessor and served in that capacity for 11 years. Mr. Brown was born to John Richard and Margaret (McFall) Brown in Loveland on Dec. 16, 1913. He moved to Crook with his family in 1914 where he received his education and his family farmed. He married Irene Workman in Sidney, Neb. on Nov. 4, 1937. He farmed until 1956 when he went to work for the Logan County Assessor's office as an appraiser and moved to Sterling. He was later elected assessor and served in that capacity for 11 years. Mr. and Mrs. Brown celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Sterling in the spring of 1988. They moved to Laramie in 1990. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling and Crook, serving as an elder for several terms. He was also a member of Sterling Elks Lodge No. 1336, Noon Lions Club, Colorado Ap praisers Association, past president of Colorado Association of Assessors and charter member of Crook Historical Society. He is preced in death by two brothers: Neal Brown and former Logan County Sheriff Ernie Brown. He is survived by his wife, Irene Brown of Laramie; three sons, Cordell and wife Carol Brown of Pueblo, Bill and wife Lequitta Brown of Roswell, N.M., Neal and wife Patti Brown of Big Fork, Mont.; a daughter, Joylene Gaines of Laramie; a brother, William R. and wife Bonnie Brown of Billings, Mont.; two sisters, Olive Waite of Marysville, Kan. and Helen Dickinson of Sidney, Neb.; a sister-in-law, Mary Brown of Aurora; nine grand children and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday June 22, 1992 at the First Presbyte rian Church in Sterling with the Rev. Ivan Rundus officiating. Bun al will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling.
