Description	:	The funeral for Wulfran Samson, formerly of Eden, SD, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Price Funeral Chapel of Britton. Fr. Albert Cizewski will officiate and spring burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour preceding the service. Wulfran Laverne Samson was born July 1, 1932 at Britton, SD to Frank and Katherine (Michlitsch) Samson of Eden, SD. As a youngster, he grew up on the family farm. He attended country school and later, Lake City High School. After receiving his education, Wulfran served his country in the U. S. Army for a period of three years. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to the Twin Cities area and took a job with Waldorf Paper Products in St. Paul, MN. He worked there until his retirement in the late 1990's. After retiring, Wulfran continued to make his home in Forest Lake. In his younger years, Wulfran greatly enjoyed playing baseball and was quite an accomplished pitcher. Later in his life, he developed a passion for playing golf. He truly loved the time he was able to spend on the golf course. Surviving Wulfran are a brother and a sister: Herbert (Abagail) Samson and Goldie Hansen; several nieces, nephews and their families; and a special friend, Shirley Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Adolph Samson, Delbert Samson and Norbert Samson; and two sisters: Priscilla Pitzl and Elvira Janisch.
