She attended Home City school and was graduated from Marysville high school in 1927. At the time of her marriage to Charles she was working for Brown's Merchandise Store in Home. Obituary: Zena Alvina Ida Gronemeyer, 94, Beatrice, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Beatrice Community Hospital. A service was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice. The Rev. Richard Fruehling officiated. Burial was at 2 p.m. at Home City Cemetery, Home City. A memorial has been established to St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice. She was born Jan. 30, 1909, at Home City, the daughter of Ernest W. and Louise Krammie Zimmerling. She graduated from Marysville High School May 24, 1927. She graduated from Marysville High School May 24, 1927. She married Charles Binggeli Feb. 6, 1929. They lived in Home City and attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church. They moved to Beatrice in 1944. She married Harvey Gronemeyer July 18, 1964, at St. John Lutheran Church, Beatrice. She worked as a clerk for 24 years at J.C. Penney Co. and worked part-time for Miller's Ready To Wear for 20 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Church Circle and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 27, all of Beatrice. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Louise Ann Walker; three brothers, Henry, Walter and Arnold Zimmerling; and one sister, Selma Nelson. She is survived by her husband, Harvey "Steve", Beatrice; a son-in-law, Marvin Walker, Kearney, Neb.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
