Description	:	Mrs. Zillah Grace Hunter was born at Broken Bow, Nebraska on October 9, 1892. She departed this life in Heminford on April 25, 1963. She had reached the age of 70 years, 6 months and 16 days. Her early life was spent at Broken Bow. It was here that she received her formal education. She was united in marriage to Robert L. She continued her residence on the ranch until seven... Read More	Mrs. Zillah Grace Hunter was born at Broken Bow, Nebraska on October 9, 1892. She departed this life in Heminford on April 25, 1963. She had reached the age of 70 years, 6 months and 16 days. Her early life was spent at Broken Bow. It was here that she received her formal education. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Hunter in Broken Bow on September 20, 1916. Mrs. Hunter came to the Hemingford area with her husband in 1916 where they entered into ranching operations north of town. She continued her residence on the ranch until seven years ago when she moved into Hemingford. Mrs. Hunter centered her interests in her family and in her home. However, she had time to participate in numerous organization groups through which she found opportunities of helpfulness and service. She was a member of The Methodist Church of Hemingford, and also had membership in the Rebekah Lodge, the War Dads Auxiliary, the Nebraska Cow Belles, and the Niobrara Neighbors. While filling her time to a great degree in acts of helpfulness to her family and friends, Mrs. Hunter maintained a special interest in her flowers and her garden. She was always a great lover of cattle and held a personal interest in historic events and the collection and display of antique items related to the earlier history of this locality. Mrs. Hunter is survived by her two sons Richard of Hemingford and Jack of Alliance, and by her daughter, Mrs. Richard Householder of Alliance. She is also survived by a brother Arthur Steward of Broken Bow and by a sister, Mrs. Roy Harbert of Redding, Calif., and by ten grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and by three sons. Funeral services were held at The Methodist Church in Hemingford on Saturday, April 27th at 2 p.m. The Pastor, Rev. Otto A. Quaife officiated. Music was provided by Mrs. Donald White, Mrs. Wm. Benda, Mrs. Donald Armstrong and Mrs. Don Walla with Mrs. Wm. Bremer at the organ. Pallbearers were Harry Knight, Robert Kister, John Gasseling, Harlan Hollinrake, Charles Iodence and Lawrence Grabher. Interment was in the Hemingford Cemetery with the Bates Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hunter, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Hunter, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Christensen, all of Alliance; Mr. Frank Reinhard, Mr. Jerry Reinhard and sons, Mrs. Fay Stewart and Sharon, Mr. and Mrs. Wart Neth, Janet and Neal, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steward and Lyle Stewart and daughter all of Broken Bow, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Eibey of Clear Lake, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lanphier of Lingle, Wyo.; and Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hill of Chadron.
