Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Zoe Deo, daughter of Claude V. and Carrie Evans Deo, was born at Stratford, Iowa. Following the death of her father, she moved with her mother and sister to Webster City. She attended the Webster City schools and later attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She also attended the National Kindergarten college and the University of Chicago, and received her master's degree at Northwestern University at Evanston, Ill. Miss Deo taught school for several years in the Chicago Heights schools and also taught at the Chicago Teacher's college. She retired in 1952 and moved to Webster City where she had since made her home with her sister, Mrs. Bauman. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. D. H. (Frankie) Bauman, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Miss Deo was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, the Webster City Garden club and the Women's club. She was active for many years in the Hamilton county Republican party and was past president of the Hamilton County Federation of Republican Women and at the time of her death was vice chairman of the Hamilton County Central committee, a position she had held for 10 years.
