Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Page officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born August 3, 1929, in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Noble Wood Kivett Sr. and Minnie Maddox Kivett. On February 13, 1950, she married Harry Holloway who preceded her in death on May 30, 1975. She was raised in Glasgow and later moved to Kansas City, but spent the majority of her life in the Blackburn community where she was a member of Elmwood United Methodist Church. Zola loved cooking and her life was spent cooking for others. She began cooking as a teenager in her father's restaurant in Glasgow, then for students at Santa Fe High School and finally at her own restaurant, The Blue Lantern in Waverly. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Laura Beth Manning; three sisters, Laura Pipkin, Mary Ruth Stipes and Marjorie Lundhoy; and three brothers, Thomas Melvin Kivett, Allen Kivett and Noble Wood 'N.W.' Kivett Jr. Survivors include her children, Judy (Clarence) Manning of Blackburn, John Holloway of Blackburn, Jeff Holloway of Lee's Summit, Janet (Roger) Bergman of Holt's Summit, and Jay (Debbie) Holloway of Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Viola Wise of Moberly, Juanita Thornton of Boise, Idaho, and Patricia Lanham of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Princess.
