Shoemaker and Addie Riglin Shoemaker was born November 5, 1885, near Fairmont. She died at Geneva on October 23, 1984, two weeks before her 99th birthday. Zola resided in the Fairmont community all her life. She attended rural school District 28 and Fairmont High School. At an early age, she joined the Presbyterian church and was a member of the Fairmont Community Church at the time of her death. She taught Sunday School classes, Vacation Bible School and was active in women's work in the church as long as her health permitted. Zola was librarian of the Fairmont Public Library from 1932 to 1955. She was a charter member of the Goldenrod Kensington and a long time member of the Fairmont Federated Woman's Club. Zola was much interested in crafts and sewing. She pieced and quilted many quilts that have gone to numerous states. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ida R. Black and Anna R. Rudisil; three brothers, Charles R. Shoemaker, Alvin R. Shoemaker and Harry R. Shoemaker. She is survived by nephews and nieces, Ruth Black of Fairmont, Bonnie Rudisil of Fullerton, Ca., Claude and Violet Rudisil of Tehachapi, Ca., Kennon Rudisil of Canogoa Park, Ca., Maynard and Bea Rudisil of Broadwater, Ralph and Virginia Shoemaker of AKennewick, Wa., George and Lula Shoemaker of Bellevue, Id., Ruth Shoemaker of Broadwater, Evalyn and Curtis Barker of Bellevue, Id., Betty Shoemaker of Las vagas, Nv., Anna Marie and Robert Curl of Twin Falls, Id., James and Katie Shoemaker of Jerome, Id.; great nephews and nieces and friends.
