Description	:	The Order of Our Lady, generally known as the Annonciades, was founded at Bourges in 1501 by Blessed Jeanne of France, the daughter of King Louis XI. A monastery of the Annonciades was founded at Boulogne-sur-Mer in 1629. The community fled to England during the persecution of the religious orders in France during the early years of the 20th century. They settled at St Margarets-At-Cliffe, near Dover, Kent. This was the only house of the Annonciades in Britain. The Annonciades left the monastery at St Margarets and returned to France in 1975. The graveyard... The graveyard is situated at what was the rear of the convent in "The Droveway". Memorial tablets still exist for the nuns and their chaplain.
