Description	:	During the winter of 1777-8, many churches in the Valley Forge, PA, area were used as hospitals during the American Revolution. East Vincent United Church of Christ was one of those churches, directly across the road from this cemetery. Many soldiers died in the church and 22, their names unknown, were subsequently buried in a mass grave at this spot. In 1831 a sandstone monument, with inscriptions on all four sides, was built over the grave, and the area was enclosed with a stone wall and iron gate. The wall was rebuilt in 1868 and again in... The wall was rebuilt in 1868 and again in 1997, when the monument was encased in plexiglass. Today, the cemetery is cared for by the East Vincent Township Historical Society.
