It is behind a field in te edge of the woods. It is visible from the road only in the winter. SEC 11 was originally patented on 30 June 1803 to Jacob Gilbert, Rev soldier and War of 1812. The patent is found in Book R, p. 101, Mah Co. Recorder of Deeds. In a petition to partition, brought by Daniel Keck and Catherine (Gilbert) his wife in her own right and Adam Wieland and Margaret (Gilbert) his wife in her own right, Jacob Gilbert's land, after his death, was sold at a sheriff's sale to settle his estate. This was recorded in Book W, p 189 and dated 26 June 1834. The land in question, 142 acres, was deemed to valuable to be divided and thus had to be sold at auction. The money was divided into the widow's, Elizabeth Gilbet's, dower and the remainder into seven parts for the seven heirs; John Gilbert, Polly Gilbert Painter (Adam), Elizabeth Gilbert Sheffer (Henry), Hannah Gilbert Glass (Mathias), Magdalena Gilbert, and the petitioners, Catherine Gilbert Heck and Margaret Gilbert Wieland. The land was bought at public auction by Adam Wieland, Margaret Gilbert's husband. Also sold at auction was Lot 21 in the village of North Lima. This lot was bought by Jacob Gilbert and John Northup on 20 Apr 1832 from John Altman and his wife, Sarah (Book R, p. 606). Thus Jacob Gilbert probably died between the signing of that deed (20 Apr 1832 and date of the partition petition (26 June 1834) When plans were made for the Ohio Turnpike's Route 7 Interchange, in the early 1950's, the interchange cloverleaf was to go through the Wieland Cemetery. Catherine Brown Symon Wheland was instrumental in having those plant altered so the interchange would lie south of its original planned location. Mrs Wheland's husband, Homer was a descendent of the Wielands. This saved the cemetery, although some graves and stones may have been lost in the construction of the interchange. (This information edited by poster as found in Beaver Two Cemetery and Death Records; Mahoning Co Ohio - due to lack of space) This cemetery was copied Sept 22, 1972 by Margaret Simon, Carol Bell and John Sprinkle. Most of the stones were broken and lying flat - some were buried and were copied as found. William L. Kerr, Jr, chose the clean up of the Wieland Cemetery as his Boy Scout Eagle project. He received approval for the project in 1986. Troop 30 of Canfield, Ohio under Scoutmaster Ed Enterline of Boardman and Assistant Scoutmaster William L Kerr of North Lima wand with invaluable help from William T Powers of Beaver Township, began the clean up in late spring of 1986. The cemetery was probe, cleaned up, and the downed stones were reset. The inscriptions were rechecked and arranged in order. All material was donated for the project. The work included 304 hours of organization and labor and was completed in March of 1989. Four new stones and several foot stones were unearthed. Unfortunately, three of the stones extant in 1972 had disappeared (marked 1989). Rows begin in the southeast corner. This cemetery was rechecked 11/22/97 by Mary Weese.
