Minneapolis Messenger, June 5, 1947, page 1: FORMERLY LIVED IN OTTAWA COUNTY Aaron Miller Parsons, son of Thos. and Caraline Parsons, was born Feb. 28, 1866 in Illinois, and passed away May 24, 1947 at the Main Street Mercy Hospital at Fort Scott, Kans., at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Azetta Elliott of Ada, Kansas, Nov. 8, 1891 who died Dec. 23, 1897. To this union were born four children, one passing away in infancy. Feb. 21, 1904 he was united in marriage to Frances Hall of Bronson, Kans. To this union was born one child. In 1910 he united with the First Christian church, of Parker, Kansas and in 1924 with the L.D.S. church of Johnson City, Mo. He has always lived a Christian life, and has been a loving companion and father. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure, four daughters, Mrs. Earl McGaha of Wilton, Ark., Mrs. R.L. Jones of Emporia, Kans., Mrs. M.R. Perkins of Rich Hill, Mo., and Mrs. C.S. Remington of Cane Hill, Ark.; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Elders John Dellar and Arlie Allen at the L.D.S. church of Rich Hill, Mo. The remains were brought to Ada, Kansas for services and burial.
