Read More	SOMERSET CITIZEN DIED IN VIRGINIA Aaron Thomas Bradshaw Passed Away At Home Of Sister [Daughter] Buried In St. Peters Cemetery On Tuesday Aaron Thomas Bradshaw, aged 87, for some years a resident of the Hopewell section, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Pennewell, at Horntown, Va., Saturday night and was buried in St. Peter's cemetery near Hopewell Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Bradshaw was a son of the late Solomon Bradshaw, a Smith's Island resident and the late Mary Russell Bradshaw. The deceased was the head of a branch of one of Somerset county's oldest and most prominent families. For many years he was a prosperous waterman and farmer, and took an active part in church work, community work and in the political activities of the community in which he resided. He was affiliated with St. Peter's M. E. Church, and it was his delight all during his life to listen to the word expounded by the ministers who served that charge and to work faithfully and give generously in its many activities. Mr. Bradshaw was the type of man who was not content unless he was doing something for the welfare of his family, his friends and his neighbors. He had the respect and the liking and the love that some way is associated with those whose years have given them an understanding and wisdom of human life and the frailties that are natural to mankind, in greater degree than most, and his death is sincerely mourned by a large circle of friends and acquaintances as well as his family. In his everyday life he practiced the precepts of the Golden Rule, and his prosperity, as it came to him, was shared with others less fortunate. Honesty and integrity were the foundation stones on which the building of his life as laid, and the structure he did build made of him an outstanding citizen, husband and father. Mr. Bradshaw was twice married. His first wife was the late Elizabeth Franklin, of Virginia, and they were the parents of a large family. His second marriage was to the late Mrs. Sofronia Thomas, of Fairmount, who died a number of years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Pennewell, of Horntown, Va., with whom he was residing when death came, and Mrs. Mary M. Franklin, of Hopewell, Md., and four sons, B. F. Bradshaw, of Baltimore, Solomon T. Bradshaw, and W. Everett Bradshaw, of Hopewell, and J. C. Bradshaw, of Baltimore. The body of Mr. Bradshaw was brought here and funeral services held in old St. Peter's church Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. L. Lawrenceson Knotts, the pastor in charge, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. Robert Wilson. Interment was in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery. The pall bearers were Everett Bradshaw, John Bradshaw, Walter Bradshaw, Elisha Ward, Thomas Ward and William Franklin.
