Abraham Lincoln Dandy, the son of William and Lydia (Brown) Dandy, was born in Schaller, Iowa, on February 3, 1921. He was baptized on June 24, 1921 in Schaller, Iowa where he was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith on April 10, 1938, at Royal, Iowa. Read More	Lincoln "Linc" Dandy, age 92, of Sioux Rapids, Iowa died June 17, 2013 at the Sioux Care Center in Sioux Rapids. Abraham Lincoln Dandy, the son of William and Lydia (Brown) Dandy, was born in Schaller, Iowa, on February 3, 1921. He was baptized on June 24, 1921 in Schaller, Iowa where he was later confirmed in the Lutheran faith on April 10, 1938, at Royal, Iowa. Linc lived his youth in the Sioux Rapids vicinity and was a member of the last graduating class of the Cornell High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from August 12, 1942 until his honorable discharge on October 5, 1945. On August 13, 1946 Linc was united in marriage to Gloria Stark at Jackson, Minnesota. Together, they were blessed with four children: Linda, Allan, Todd, and Gregg. Their married lifetime was spent in Sioux Rapids. Linc was employed at the Hy-Grade Plant in Storm Lake for 34 years. He was a devoted member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Sioux Rapids and also the VFW. Linc will be remembered by his family and friends as an avid fisherman. He loved gardening, music and singing, watching football and basketball on television. He was an enthusiastic Iowa Hawkeye fan. He and his family enjoyed many summer vacations at Camp Okoboji in the Iowa Great Lakes area. Linc's life will always be honored and cherished by his family which include his wife, Gloria of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; children: Linda (Jack) Martinson of Vermillion, South Dakota; Allan Dandy and Jackie Haaland of Greenville, Iowa; Todd (Tina) Dandy of Avondale, Arizona; Gregg (Deanna) Dandy of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren: Eric and Scott Martinson; Kohlene Lausen; Flint, Ryan, and Tyler Dandy; nine great grandchildren; sister, Edna, of Wisconsin; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary; and his brothers: Floyd, Wilbur, William, Edgar, Morris, George, and Aubrey. Obituary is from The Sliefert Funeral Home
