She was born in Rural Retreat Virginia. She died suddenly on Wednesday, March 12, 1969, at the Genoa Community Hospital, at the age of 85 years. Read More	Albion News, March 1969 Mrs. Ada Meridith died suddenly in Genoa hospital Ada Howe Cormony Meridith was a twin daughter of Marie and Leonard Cormony. She was born in Rural Retreat Virginia. She died suddenly on Wednesday, March 12, 1969, at the Genoa Community Hospital, at the age of 85 years. Mrs. Meridith spent her girlhood days in Rural Retreat, Virginia. She attended Emery and Henry College in Emery, Virginia. She became a teacher and taught until she married. She was married to Claude Crockett Meridith in Wytheville, Virginia, on November 28, 1908. After their marriage they lived in Rural Retreat. From there they moved to Boone county where they have since lived except four years lived in Montana. To this union two sons were born E. Earl and Forrest P., and one daughter, Thelma Irene. Mrs. and Mrs. Meridith were the owners of Meridith's Store in Boone, started in 1921. Mrs. Meridith was appointed Postmaster in Boone in 1923 and retired on April 30, 1953. She was a member of the National League of Postmasters and National Association of Postmasters. She was also a member of the Retired Civil Service Employees. She was a member of the Methodist church at Raynesford, Montana, until 1923 when she transferred her membership to the St. Edward Methodist church, where she had been an active member. She received a life membership pin from the Women's Society of Christian Service several years ago. Funeral services were held March 15, 1969 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist church in St. Edward, conducted by Rev. L.A. Hansen. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
