Description	:	Ada M. Shaw -Richardson –Smart Age 86, of Golden Valley, MN and formerly of Grand Meadow, MN died Tuesday June 16 , 1998, at the Crystal Lake Center in Robbinsdale, MN. Ada was born April 3, 1912, in Keokuck Co., IA to Fred and Jennie Shaw. Most of her young life was lived in Iowa. Shaw -Richardson –Smart Age 86, of Golden Valley, MN and formerly of Grand Meadow, MN died Tuesday June 16 , 1998, at the Crystal Lake Center in Robbinsdale, MN. Ada was born April 3, 1912, in Keokuck Co., IA to Fred and Jennie Shaw. Most of her young life was lived in Iowa. At the age of 19 she moved to Grand Meadow where she met and later married Hervey Richardson. After her family was raised Ada moved to Golden Valley, MN. She later met and married Damon Smart. While in Golden Valley she worked at Medicine Lake Mission Farms for the elderly and handicapped people. After her retirement she did volunteer work with handicapped Children. Ada loved making quilts, crafts of all kinds and crocheting Afghans. Her hands were always busy. She always enjoyed the little ones, when there was a new baby in the family she could hardly wait to come down so she could hold and love them. Ada is survived by 2 sons and daughter in laws, Laverne and Rona Richardson of Faribault, MN Donald and Gloria Richardson of Brownsdale, MN 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Norma Jean and Kenneth Fretty, and Darlene and Dick Steinhorst of Grand meadow, one daughter in law Mavis Richardson of Austin, 19 Grandchildren, 36 great Grandchildren, two great- Great- Grandchildren and 6 Step Great Grandchildren. One brother Lawrence Shaw of Stewartville and one sister Maxine of Ladysmith, WI and a special friend of 15 years Archie Lene. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son Fred who died March 18, 1998, 3 Sisters and two Brothers. She will be sadly missed by her family.
