Description	:	Fairfield Tribune Wednesday March 1, 1899 Pg. 7 Col. 5 Addison Lyon Dead Mr. Addison Lyon died at his home, nine miles northwest of town, on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 23rd, at four o'clock. He was thirty-seven years and nine months old. Mr. Lyon was born in Harrison county, Ohio, in May, 1861 (sic. May 7, 1862 per headstone inscription), and came to Fairfield about twelve or thirteen years ago. For some time he was employed in J.W. Gordon's livery barn (sic. He was thirty-seven years and nine months old. Mr. Lyon was born in Harrison county, Ohio, in May, 1861 (sic. May 7, 1862 per headstone inscription), and came to Fairfield about twelve or thirteen years ago. For some time he was employed in J.W. Gordon's livery barn (sic. James William Gordon), but for several years past he has been living on the farm where he died. He was married on the twenty-second of August, 1889, to Miss Elinor V. Gantz (sic. a/k/a Helen V. Gantz), who died in October, three years later (sic. died from complications of childbirth, the baby son died too). He was married again in September, 1897, to Miss Edith Neff and she is still living. The cause of Mr. Lyon's death was consumption, but his life would probably have been longer but for an affection of the throat which made it impossible for him to take any food. The funeral occurred last Saturday morning at ten o'clock. ------------ Married first to Helen V Gantz Lyon, then remarried to Edith Mae Neff Lyon. Edith subsequently remarried to William Gardner and is buried on this same plot with William under the "Gardner" surname on their joint headstone.
