Description	:	Adell (Aldrich) Crandall was born at Door Prairie, Indiana on August 6, 1857. At the time of her death, she was 61 years, 3 months and 18 days. She was the eldest of 8 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Issac Aldrich at Door Prairie, Indiana and resided with her parents, until they moved to Indianapolis, Ind., where she graduated from the Public Schools, then, moving to Chicago, Illinois in year 1880, where she taught school until she was married to Dr. Harry Crandall of Blue Island, Ill. on April 19, 1882. To this union 5 children were born, 2 dying in... Read More	Adell (Aldrich) Crandall was born at Door Prairie, Indiana on August 6, 1857. At the time of her death, she was 61 years, 3 months and 18 days. She was the eldest of 8 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Issac Aldrich at Door Prairie, Indiana and resided with her parents, until they moved to Indianapolis, Ind., where she graduated from the Public Schools, then, moving to Chicago, Illinois in year 1880, where she taught school until she was married to Dr. Harry Crandall of Blue Island, Ill. on April 19, 1882. To this union 5 children were born, 2 dying in infancy. In 1891 they moved to Creighton, Nebr. with their three living children, Marie, Laura and Clarence, where they resided upon their farm 5 miles northwest of Creighton. Marie was married to Leroy A. Morley and died at Creighton on the 23rd day of Sept. 1921. Laura was married to Mark Weber and died on April 11, 1910. Clarence died on April 18, 1916. After the death of her daughter, Marie Crandall Morley, she made her home with her 9 grandchildren in caring for them. On Jan. 10, 1922 she went to Des Moines, Ia. to attend a Chautuaqua convention, from there to Omaha, Nebr. to consult a physician, going to the Clarkson Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1922, was operated upon Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1922 and died at the Clarkson Hospital at Omaha, Jan. 24 at 10:45 a.m. She leaves to mourn her loss, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Two sisters and a brother of Chicago, Ill., one brother of St. Paul, Minn., one sister of Arizona and 9 grandchildren, the children of Leroy A. Morley of Creighton. The remains of Mrs. Crandall arrived in Creighton on Thursday afternoon and the funeral was held from the M.E. church at 10 o'clock Friday morning, conducted by Rev. F. Farner.
