Description	:	Friends were grieved to learn of the death of Dr. Harry Crandall which occurred at the hospital in Orchard on last Thursday, following a several weeks illness of dropsy. He was one of the early pioneers of this community and commanded the respect and esteem of all. Harry Crandall was born in Cook county, Illinois, on March 19, 1857 and died at Orchard, Nebraska, March 21, 1919, aged 72 years and 2 days. He was one of the early pioneers of this community and commanded the respect and esteem of all. Harry Crandall was born in Cook county, Illinois, on March 19, 1857 and died at Orchard, Nebraska, March 21, 1919, aged 72 years and 2 days. He came from a family of ten children, having had 5 brothers and 4 sisters. He was married to Adell A. Aldrich, April 19, 1883, to which union five children were born, two dying in infancy. The other three children and the wife also preceded him in death. A brother, A.W. Crandall of Winnetoon, Nebr. and a sister, Clara Gilson Reed of Hamlet, Indiana and nine grandchildren, who live with their father, LeRoy Morley at Royal, Nebr., survive him. Dr. Crandall came to Nebraska in 1898. He lived between Winnetoon and Creighton for several years, then moved into Creighton where he practiced his profession as a veterinarian. Funeral services were held in Creighton Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church with Rev. Kuhier in charge. A large concourse of friends were present to pay their final homage to this pioneer.
