Read More	Source: Stanton Register Wednesday, April 30th, 1997 Adolph George Herman Koehlmoos was born April 10, 1916, near Pilger, the son of Henry and Elise (Dahlkoetter) Koehlmoos Sr. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pilger. He Attended Stanton County Rural School District 43. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945, earning a Bronze Star while serving overseas in Belgium, France and Germany. He married Lorraine Hilbers July 6, 1942, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pilger. The couple farmed north of Pilger for 33 years on the original Koehlmoos homestead. Upon retiring in 1982, they moved into Pilger. Mr. Koehlmoos entered the Wisner Manor in January 1997. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he once served as the Sunday School superintendent. He had also served on the Pilger Farmers Co-op Board for 22 years, the Stanton County Weed Control Board for 20 years and was a past school board member of Stanton County Rural School District 43. Survivors include his wife of Pilger; sons and their spouses, Leon "Butch" and Linda Koehlmoos of Ord, LeRoy and Lynn Koehlmoos, of Pilger, daughters and spouses, Franceil and Merlin Parde of Arlington, Va., Marlene and Arthur Clausen of Omaha and Phyllis and Dennis Lindsay of Omaha, 12 grandchildren; one brother, Henry Koehlmoos Jr. of Arizona; three sisters, Esther Heller of Wisner, Arlene Lundahl of Emerson and Lillian Penn of Nevada, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter in infancy, three brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers were Matthew Clausen, Lance Koehlmoos, Scott Priebe, Loren Koehlmoos, Lonny Koehlmoos and Aaron Parde. Honorary bearers were Mr. and Mrs. John Buetler, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Hasenkamp, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gemelke, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Heller, Hilda Grimm, Erma Tobias, Virgie Frerichs and Mary Husmann.
