He had been in ill health for the past two years. Born October 20, 1904 in Sigourney, he was the son of Charles and Anna Brandenburg Nimtz. He had spent his entire life time in Sigourney vicinity except for a few years when he resided in Davenport. He was in the Plumbing and Heating business for many years, a member of the United Methodist Church of Sigourney; A Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army, and a member of the American Legion. Surviving are: his mother, Mrs. Anna Nimtz of Sigourney, two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Cuddy of Sigourney and Mrs. Henry Rosenboom of Eddyville; one brother, Karl of Sigourney; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services for Albert Carl Nimtz will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Sigourney, with the Rev. Frank Greenwood officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Reynolds Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
