Description	:	Karl R. Nimtz, 76, of Sigourney died October 20 at Sigourney Manor House. He was born November 21, 1909, in Van Buren Township in Keokuk County to Charles and Anna Brandenburg Nimtz. He attended Keenersburg School and graduated from Keswick high school in 1927. He farmed in Van Buren township until retiring and moving to Sigourney in 1974. He was a member of Sigourney United Methodist church, the Keokuk County Izaak Walton league, and had been a member of the Keenersburg School Board for many years. He is survived by his wife; a son, Maurice of Sigourney; a daughter, Carol Sue Bennett of Zephrhills, Flordia; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mabel Starry of Sigourney and Leona Rosenboom of Ottumwa. Services are today (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. at Sigourney United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.
