Throne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Throne, was born June 28, 1872 at Bloserville, Pennsylvania and died August 19, 1954, at Lincoln, Nebr., at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 22 days. His early childhood was spent in Pennsylvania. As a young man he came to Chester where he lived and helped to build a better community. He loved farming to which he devoted his entire active life. Throne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Throne, was born June 28, 1872 at Bloserville, Pennsylvania and died August 19, 1954, at Lincoln, Nebr., at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 22 days. His early childhood was spent in Pennsylvania. As a young man he came to Chester where he lived and helped to build a better community. He loved farming to which he devoted his entire active life. On February 11, 1901, he was united in marriage with Gertrude Dick. Three children came to bless their home, Mildred, Alberta and Bernetha. Following the passing of his wife, he moved to Lincoln in 1941. Albert Throne was a loving and devoted husband and father. He possessed an outlook of faith and hope that endured and revealed itself particularly during his lingering illness. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Mildred Miller of West Covina, Calif., Mrs. Alberta Stroh and Mrs. Bernetha Hitchcock of Lincoln; two grandchildren, JoAnn and Suzanne Miller; one brother, Elmer Throne of Chester and many other relatives and a host of friends. Rev. Frank Bartleson conducted the funeral services held at the Chester Methodist Church Sunday afternoon, August 22. Music was by a quartet, Mrs. L.W. Eickman, Mrs. Howard Reed, G.D. Van Cleef and Max Larkins, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Weary. The pallbearers were Joe Duey, O.W. Norman, Jerry Simpson, Frank Larkins, F.W. Jenkins and George Fraley.
