Description	:	Albert Gordon Barnett, son of William Densmore and Minerva Roach Barnett, was born near DeKalb, Buchanan County, Missouri, May 18, 1852 and died August 13, 1928, at his home near Burlingame. He was apparently in as good health as usual when death came suddenly while he was doing his chores. He moved with his parents to Jackson County, Kansas, the spring of 1855 where he grew to manhood, getting his early education from his own father who taught the only school in that county at that early date. Read More	Albert Gordon Barnett, son of William Densmore and Minerva Roach Barnett, was born near DeKalb, Buchanan County, Missouri, May 18, 1852 and died August 13, 1928, at his home near Burlingame. He was apparently in as good health as usual when death came suddenly while he was doing his chores. He moved with his parents to Jackson County, Kansas, the spring of 1855 where he grew to manhood, getting his early education from his own father who taught the only school in that county at that early date. He came to Osage County in 1874 and has been a resident continuously since that date. On November 12, 1884, he was married to Mary Ellen Jenkins of Emporia, Kansas. To this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters; August D. of Osage City, Mrs. Minerva Shea of Larned, Kansas, who preceded her father in death only a few months, Joseph S., Mrs. Ethel Reiser, and Mrs. Ella Hepworth of Burlingame, and Misses Emeline and Jessie Barnett of Topeka. His good wife, six children, two brothers, William D., a twin, and Samuel J. of Osage City, three sisters, Mrs. Belle Campbell, Mrs. Clara Rowell, and Mrs. Cora Stanley of Holton, eleven grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends, mourn the loss of one who has been a devoted husband and father, a good neighbor and a highly respected citizen.
