Description	:	Emeline Barnett was born at Holton, Kansas, April 15, 1863. She was the eldest child of W. D. and Uhle Barnett. She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and was married to Z. Taylor Estes at Falls City, Nebraska, 44 years ago. There were six children born to this union: Mrs. Pearl Malone of Culver City, Calif.; Mrs. Mabel Charlesworth, Santa Monica, Calif.; C. E. Estes, Kansas City, MO.; H. B. Estes, Topeka, Kansas, Edgar Estes, deceased; Mrs. Theda Smith, Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Estes became a member of the Christian church early in life, and lived in that faith until... Read More	Emeline Barnett was born at Holton, Kansas, April 15, 1863. She was the eldest child of W. D. and Uhle Barnett. She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and was married to Z. Taylor Estes at Falls City, Nebraska, 44 years ago. There were six children born to this union: Mrs. Pearl Malone of Culver City, Calif.; Mrs. Mabel Charlesworth, Santa Monica, Calif.; C. E. Estes, Kansas City, MO.; H. B. Estes, Topeka, Kansas, Edgar Estes, deceased; Mrs. Theda Smith, Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Estes became a member of the Christian church early in life, and lived in that faith until her death. She passed away after two years of illness, which she endured with wonderful courage and cheerfulness, at Wichita, Kansas, October 5, 1927. She leaves two sons, three daughters, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also three sister, two of whom, Mrs. Clara Rowell and Mrs. Bell Campbell, reside in Holton, and Mrs. Cora McAuley of St. Joseph, Mo. Her husband and one son preceded her in death. The funeral services were conducted by Evangelist Bishop M. Hopkins, at the Christian Church, Saturday afternoon, October 8, 1927. A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. M. F. Gabel, Miss Christine Stoll, Mr. W. A. Brown and Mr. E. D. Woodburn furnished the music. The burial service was at the Holton Cemetery.
