He was born Dec. 4, 1880, in Hooks Point the son of Nathan and Emma Gardner Wilson. He was born Dec. 4, 1880, in Hooks Point the son of Nathan and Emma Gardner Wilson. He married Maude Cayler Nov. 30, 1909, after her death in 1912, he married Bannie Milburn July 15, 1920, at Fairmont, Minn. Wilson was a homesteader in North Dakota, and worked on ranches. He moved back to Stratford in 1917, and farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, one daughter, three sisters, one granddaughter. Survivors include a granddaughter, Mrs. Dee Anderson of Gladstone, Ore.; six great-granddaughters; a grandson-in-law, Donald Paul of Stratford. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Stratford Courier March 7, 1985 Funeral services for Albert (Bert) Wilson, 104, were Thursday at the Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating and with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery north of Stratford. He died Sunday, February 24, 1985 at the Stratford Care Center where he had been a resident since September 1, 1982. He is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Richard (Dee) Anderson of Gladstone, Oregon; six great-granddaughters, Christine Anderson, Denver; Lee Ellyn (Missie) Anderson of Gladstone; Brenda, Nanette, Tammi and Michelle Paul, all of Stratford; also surviving is a grandson-in-law, Donald Paul of Stratford; a close friend, Ann Anderson of Stratford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Maude in 1912, his second wife, Bannie, a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Ernest Anderson, a granddaughter, Karen Paul, and three sisters. He was born December 4, 1880 at Hook's Point, the son of Nathan and Emma Gardner Wilson. On November 30, 1909, he married Maude Cayler, who preceded him in death in 1912. On July 15, 1920, he married Bannie Milburn at Fairmont, Minnesota. He homesteaded in North Dakota, working on ranches before moving back to Stratford in 1917 where he farmed until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford. He was the Stratford Centennial King in 1980.
