Description	:	LINDE, ALBERT—Albert Linde was born to Henry Linde and Margaret Tobiassen Linde on March 6, 1887, in Fillmore county, and passed away on September 4, 1982, at Geneva, at the age of 95 years 5 months and 29 days. He was one of two children in the family. Albert was born and spent his early childhood on a farm in the west part of the county. Read More	LINDE, ALBERT—Albert Linde was born to Henry Linde and Margaret Tobiassen Linde on March 6, 1887, in Fillmore county, and passed away on September 4, 1982, at Geneva, at the age of 95 years 5 months and 29 days. He was one of two children in the family. Albert was born and spent his early childhood on a farm in the west part of the county. He moved with his parents to a farm near Geneva where he attended school and engaged in farming with his father. He made his home and continued to farm at this same location after his father’s retirement and until his own retirement in 1956, at which time he moved with his wife and sons to Jonesboro, Ar. He returned to Geneva in 1966 and spent his remaining years. He was married to Mary Frances Prescott, of Manila, Ar., on March 29, 1917, and to them four children were born. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucile Swails and one sister, Martha Freiden. He is survived by his wife Mary of Fairview Manor in Fairmont; two daughters, Mrs. Murray L. (Hazel) Holmes of Geneva, and Mrs. William C. (Evelyn) Hanes of Kingsport, Tn., a son, Gene Linde of Geneva; a foster, son, David Linde of Bountiful, Ut.; and by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer and Son funeral home in Geneva on Tuesday, September 7, with the Rev. Harold Nelson officiating. Music selections were “Precious Memories” and “How Great Thou Art.” Those serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Boyes, Vernon Lauenstein, Jacob Schaldecker, Joe Nelson, Bill Jensen and Richard Wagner. Honorary pallbearers were Forrest Swails and John Tobiassen. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal September 9, 1982 page 4.
