Description	:	Albert Ray Mullet, 85, the son of John A. and Emma (Long) Mullet, was born October 21, 1909, in Superior and passed away Tuesday, September 26, 1995, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska. Raised in Superior, Albert graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1927. January 9, 1938, he was united in marriage to Willa Adalene Carter at Hebron, Nebraska. Raised in Superior, Albert graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1927. January 9, 1938, he was united in marriage to Willa Adalene Carter at Hebron, Nebraska. Along with his brothers, Don and Wayne, he owned and operated Mullet Hardware, Furniture and Appliance until 1988. Their father had started the retail and funeral business in 1903. Albert served in the United States Navy during World War II for 3 1/2 years. A licensed funeral director, he operated the Mullet Funeral Home until 1968, when it was purchased by the Williams family. Active in the Superior community, Albert was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, serving on many committees as well as an elder. A member of the Superior Lions Club, he served as district governor. He was a member of the Superior Chamber of Commerce and served as an ambassador and Superior American Legion, serving as past commander. Albert also served on the Superior Utility Board for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife on November 11, 1980; and a brother, Donald. Survivors include one son, D'Are Mullet of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Wayne of Superior, Nebraska, and one sister, Hazel Littrell, formerly of Nelson, now of Gering, Nebraska. Funeral services were held Friday, September 29, 1995, at 3 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Superior with Rev. Joan Gaines officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
