Description	:	Hazel A. Littrell, 101, died Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at Northfield Medical Center in Gering, Nebraska. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2001, at the Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, with Dr. Ralph Sturdy officiating. Hazel was born September 10, 1899, in Ebson, Kansas, to John A. and Emma (Long) Mullet. At an early age she moved with her family to Superior, Nebraska, where she graduated from the Superior Schools. June 29, 1921, she married Paul Littrell at the home of her parents. They lived in Nelson after their marriage, where Hazel was involved with her husband in the gasoline transport business for many years. She moved to Gering in 1995. Hazel was a charter member of Nelson American Legion Auxiliary and served as treasurer for many years. She was active in the Presbyterian Church and served as Guild treasurer for 29 years. Hazel received a 50-year membership pin from Eastern Star. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, bird watching and Nebraska football games. Except for the war years, Hazel and Paul attended every Nebraska home football game for 50 years. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Jim Dinkel of Speedway, Indiana, and Marian and Max Rogers of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; one daughter-in-law, Nellie Littrell of Nelson; one brother, Wayne Mullet and his wife Betty of Superior; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Paul; two brothers; son, Robert; daughter, Dorothy Jensen; son-in-law, Kenneth Jensen; and grandson, Paul Dinkel.
