Born in Phinney Cove, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Lydia (Sarty) Bent. Alberta was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a foster mother. She was an avid baseball player and she loved to watch her family play. She worked in Halifax during the war. She taught school for awhile and worked at C.F.B. Alberta was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; son, Ronald Douglas; daughter, Joan Louise; grandson, Anthony Dale; brothers, Douglas and Gordon; sister, Della Chute. Funeral service today at 2 p.m. in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, Rev. Dr. George P. Allen officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
