Read More	Albion Nihart, Pioneer, Passes on Last Thursday Came to Nebraska with His Parents in 1879; Had Been in Failing Health for Some Time Albion Nihart was born in Linn County, Iowa, June 4, 1861 and died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Mark, April 19, 1934; age 72 years, 10 months and 15 days. Mr. Nihart had been ailing for about a year and during the winter was confined to his bed much of the time, during which time he was cared for at the home of his brother-in-law, William Burt, who with his wife did what they could to alleviate his suffering. He had gone to see his sister, Mrs. F. Mark and had just entered the home when he collapsed and died in the arms of his sister. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1879 and they settled on a farm four and one half miles east of Creighton and for more than fifty-five years he had been a resident of this community. He was united in marriage to Miss Mollie Burt, August 7, 1887 and two children were born to their union, Ethel, who passed away about five years ago and William, who died in infancy. Mrs. Nihart passed away April 5, 1929. Mr. Nihart was a quiet and unobtrusive man and was known and loved by nearly everybody in his wide acquaintance. For a number of years he was a member of the Methodist church and during his last illness the pastor was in frequent conversation with him and he expressed a lively faith in his Heavenly Father and in Christ's atonement. He was resigned to the suffering of these last months and confidently hoped for the morning of the eternal day where there will be neither pain nor death. Besides his sister, Mrs. Mark, he is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss. Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R.B.E. Hill. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery in the family plot.
