Oyster died Monday evening of this week at about eight o’clock at her home in North Villisca. The cause of death was cancer. In January of this year Mrs. Oyster submitted to an operation at an Omaha hospital for gall stones. The operation gave her temporary relief but again in April she went to Omaha for consultation. Oyster died Monday evening of this week at about eight o’clock at her home in North Villisca. The cause of death was cancer. In January of this year Mrs. Oyster submitted to an operation at an Omaha hospital for gall stones. The operation gave her temporary relief but again in April she went to Omaha for consultation. She suffered a great deal at that time and the physicians who diagnosed her case said she suffered from cancer. The trouble gradually grew worse and no hope for her recovery was entertained during the last few weeks of her life. Almedia Ross was born in Montgomery County on September 6, 1865 and at the time of her death was almost fifty-two years of age. She was married to Samuel W. Oyster January 11, 1888 in Villisca. Six children were born to this union. cyrenius and Willis died when eight and two years old; Mrs. Orille Hammel of Morton Mills, Mrs. H. A. Rogers of Atwood, Kansas and Floyd W. Oyster and Wilma Oyster at home. The four children were all at their mother’s bedside when death came. Frank Ross of near Missoula, Montana; Miss Clara Ross of Villisca and Mrs. Alta Phillips of this city are the surviving bother and sisters. The father, A. B. Ross of this city also survives with the husband. Two grandchildren also survive. The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the Methodist Church in the city. Rev. E. S.
