| Description | : | Alexander Young Watters (1806-1872), was the oldest of John and Esther Young Watters' 12 children. In 1834, he moved from the family farm and purchased a tan yard, 12 acres for $1,010, at Bush, Harford County, Maryland. Alex worked in the leather business until his death. On April 6, 1837, Alex married Catherine Elizabeth Amos, daughter of John Talbot Amos. In 1842, he and his wife bought a property called "Charles Neighbor", 300 acres, for $1,237.50, located at the intersection of Fallston & Pleasantville Roads.
