Description	:	Minneapolis Messenger, Aug. 18, 1949, page 1, col. 8: Alfred Charley Prior, of Ada, known to his many friends for years simply as "Fred" Prior, died Thursday, August 11, at Asbury Hospital in Salina. He was a son of the former Alfred and Charlotte Prior and had lived at Ada his entire life. He was born there on September 18, 1891. He was a son of the former Alfred and Charlotte Prior and had lived at Ada his entire life. He was born there on September 18, 1891. He leaves two brothers and one sister; James Prior, of Salina; John Prior, of Tescott and Mrs. Emma Parsons, of Ada. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Alice Converse. Of late years he had made his home with his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Parsons. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Ada Baptist church, with Rev. A.C. Cook, of Milton, in charge, assisted by Rev. Smart, of Ada. Keith Bacon and Mrs. Ray Coatney furnished the music. Pallbearers were Harry Drake, Henry Beichley, Everett Bradbury, Dewey Marsell, Charles Wormser and John Gasaway. Interment was made in the Ada cemetery.
