Description	:	Alfred Linebrink, son of William and Mary Linebrink, was born on December 25, 1874 in Tiffin Township, Defiance County, the fourth in a family of eight children. He lived his entire life on the same farm in Tiffin Township. In his early boyhood he joined the St. John's M. E. Church where he was a lifelong member being very active in the church. The deceased departed this life at the Defiance hospital where he had been confined for nearly seven weeks with a stroke of apoplexy. Read More	Alfred Linebrink, son of William and Mary Linebrink, was born on December 25, 1874 in Tiffin Township, Defiance County, the fourth in a family of eight children. He lived his entire life on the same farm in Tiffin Township. In his early boyhood he joined the St. John's M. E. Church where he was a lifelong member being very active in the church. The deceased departed this life at the Defiance hospital where he had been confined for nearly seven weeks with a stroke of apoplexy. He was stricken on the morning of August 9th and, after being bedfast for a week, his condition grew worse and he was taken to the hospital. He had been in ill health for the past three years. He passed away Sunday morning, October 6, 1940 at 11 o'clock at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn two brothers, Jacob and Ernest, both of Tiffin Township and four sisters: Mrs. Sarah Bohner, Montpelier, Ohio; Mrs. Nora Linebrink, Chicago; Mrs. Inez Linebrink, Tiffin Township and Mrs. Edith Repogle, Evansport, Ohio. One sister, Mrs. Tena Higbea, preceded him in death last November. He also leaves a large number of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon October 9, 1940, at 2 o'clock at the residence and 2:30 at the St. John's Methodist Church with Rev. Mumma officiating, assisted by Rev. W. H. Huber. Interment was made in the St. John's Cemetery. -Defiance Crescent News, October 11, 1940.
