Description	:	Alfred J. Quick, 65 of Fairmont, died Thursday, September 19, 1963, at the Fillmore County Hospital at Geneva, where he was admitted the day previous. He had been in failing health several years. Mr. Quick was born January 4, 1898, near York, the son of Alfred and Rosa A. Quick. He spent most of his lifetime farming in York and Fillmore counties. Quick, 65 of Fairmont, died Thursday, September 19, 1963, at the Fillmore County Hospital at Geneva, where he was admitted the day previous. He had been in failing health several years. Mr. Quick was born January 4, 1898, near York, the son of Alfred and Rosa A. Quick. He spent most of his lifetime farming in York and Fillmore counties. Mr. Quick was married to Ruth Garwood at Phillips, Neb., November 25, 1927. To this union were born four sons and two daughters, all of whom survive. They are John of Joplin, Mo., Robert of Fairmont, Richard and James at home, Mrs. Harry (Donna) Rathje of York and Mrs. Don (Deloris) Veskrna of Lincoln. He is also survived by his wife; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Omaha and Edwin of York; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Comstock of York. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rachel. He was an active member of the Fairmont Odd Fellow Lodge and the Fairmont Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 22 with Rev. Leonard Hartwig officiating. Mrs. Rex Plock sang "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee." Miss Nancy Gunlack was accompanist. Pallbearers were Reuben Ackerman, Darrell Cudaback, Max Galusha, Floyd Gunlack, Clyde Jacobsen and Ralph Keil. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
