Alfred William Lyon, 61, Overbrook, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had a liver ailment.

He was born January 2, 1913 in Douglas County, the son of Mr. & Mrs. John Henry Lyon and lived in the Globe community east of Overbrook. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 77th Infantry in the Pacific.
