Description	:	Alice Clithero was born at Braidwood, Illinois, on December fourth, 1869. Her parents moved to Nebraska in the spring of 1876 and made their home on the farm which for succeeding years was their residence, southwest of McCool Junction in York county. Read More	Alice Clithero was born at Braidwood, Illinois, on December fourth, 1869. Her parents moved to Nebraska in the spring of 1876 and made their home on the farm which for succeeding years was their residence, southwest of McCool Junction in York county. Here Alice received her earlier education as she attended school in the home district. On April 12, 1887, she was happily united in marriage with Willis F. Moul, and in the years of their companionship together, the young couple gathered around them a happy family circle of eleven children. Mrs. Moul, having united in girlhood with the then Fairview, now McCool Methodist Episcopal church, both she and her husband found spiritual refreshment and inspiration in the activities of that congregation, of which both they and their neighbors still living in the same community have preserved many precious memories. Mr. and Mrs. Moul moved to the farm in the vicinity of Fairmont in 1895 and transferred their membership to the Grace Methodist Episcopal church in Fairmont during the pastorate of the Rev. John Gallagher. Sorrow came to Mrs. Moul in the passing of her devoted husband on October 15, 1929, and her daughter, Mrs. Ada Moss, who died on February 22, 1932. The fact that home and family cares naturally lessened the amount of outside activities formerly participated in by Mrs. Moul, did not, however, prevent her continued interest and love concerning church and community enterprises; and for any and every worthy cause, socially, educationally and religiously, she always had a kindly word of encouragement and commendation. Ten surviving children mourn the passing of this loving mother. They are: Oliver, Lewis, Clifford, Wilber, Mildred, Walter, Francis and Loren, all of Fairmont; Fordyce of Madrid, Nebraska; and Mrs. Louise Shinn of Pawnee City, Nebraska, all of whom were present. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. O.M. Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and a brother, Loren B. Clithero of York, Nebraska; and eighteen grandchildren. Following a very brief illness, Mrs. Moul passed away at her home near Fairmont on Saturday morning, March 9, 1935 at the age of sixty-0five years, four months and five days. The Methodist church in Fairmont was filled to capacity for the last rites, following a brief service at the home, on Monday afternoon, March 11th, the pastor, Rev. J. Henry Stitt, officiating; the banked flowers at the rostrum and large assembly of friends and neighbors from the vicinity of McCool and Lushton, besides those nearer, including classmates of the younger members, evidencing the esteem and love of all. The hymns, "Sometime We'll Understand," "No Light There," and "The Rock That is Higher Than I," were sung. Mesdames Quinlan and Little, with Messrs Black and Bender, comprised the quartet, with Mrs. Ashby at the piano. The pastor spoke from the thirty-first chapter of Proverbs, "Her children arise and call her blessed." Six of Mrs. Moul's sons, Oliver, Lewis, Clifford, Wilbur, Fordyce and Walter, were active pallbearers and a large cortege followed to the final resting place in Fairmont cemetery.
