Description	:	Oliver Warren Moul was born September 5, 1888, the first son of Alice and Willis Moul in York county. He attended country school where his father taught in the one-room schoolhouse. Read More	Oliver Warren Moul was born September 5, 1888, the first son of Alice and Willis Moul in York county. He attended country school where his father taught in the one-room schoolhouse. When Oliver was in the eighth grade, he won the state spelling contest, and loved to tell of walking home that day, proud of his medal, and of his father coming to meet him because he had seen the sun shining o the medal. While work on the family farm hindered hindered him from attending high school full time, he was able to graduate with his class in the spring of 1909. June 3, 1915, he was united in marriage to Amy Mae Ogden. To this union two children were born, Wilma Marie and Warren Wendell. He farmed in the Fairmont vicinity for 60 years. He was often called upon to sing for weddings and funerals. Many, many times he left his work to sing for the funeral of a friend. He was a good friend and neighbor, always ready to lent a hand whenever needed. In October of 1974, he and Amy retired from the farm and moved into a home in Fairmont, where he passed away on Friday, February 24, 1978, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 19 days. Oliver farm through the hard years, but never lost his sense of humor. Books and music were a big part of his life, he always provided these for his family. He loved the Lord, and his family, especially his three grandchildren. Oliver was a member of the Odd Fellow lodge "Hesperian No. 42" and the Fairmont Community church. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and his wife. He leaves his two youngest brothers, Francis and Loren; his children, Wendell, Marian, Karl and Marie; his grandchildren, Linda, Beth and Bradley. Those who mourn his death also include many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community church at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 27, with Rev. Jay Vetter officiating. Mrs. Marvin Swartz, organist, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall, who sang "Ninety and Nine" and "Abide with Me." Pallbearers were David Bristol, Warren Reed, Duane Lott, Marvin Roper, Floyd Lott and Marvin Swartz. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
