Description	:	Willis Franklin Moul was born near Waupun, Dodge county, Wisconsin, on the 10th day of March, 1857. He departed this life October 15, 1929, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months and five days. The Moul family left Wisconsin September 11, 1871, coming to Nebraska and locating in Seward county, where they resided for one year. On March 19, 1872, they moved to a homestead in York county. Two years later, in 1874, Mr. Moul went back to Wisconsin to attend Rippon College and engaged in other duties until 1878, when he returned to Nebraska.... Read More	Willis Franklin Moul was born near Waupun, Dodge county, Wisconsin, on the 10th day of March, 1857. He departed this life October 15, 1929, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months and five days. The Moul family left Wisconsin September 11, 1871, coming to Nebraska and locating in Seward county, where they resided for one year. On March 19, 1872, they moved to a homestead in York county. Two years later, in 1874, Mr. Moul went back to Wisconsin to attend Rippon College and engaged in other duties until 1878, when he returned to Nebraska. He was at this time twenty-one years of age. Mr. Moul taught school for thirteen consecutive years in the late seventies and through the eighties. He was united in the bonds of holy wedlock to Alice Clithero, April 12, 1887 at Grafton, Nebraska. Rev. J.W. Lewis of our Nebraska conference officiating. They resided in York county, near McCool until 1894, when they moved to Fillmore county, where they have since resided, and for the past eleven years at their present home south of Fairmont. Besides his beloved wife, the following children mourn his departure: Oliver W., Lou B., Mildred M., Wilbur Charles, Walter C., Francis and Loren, all of Fairmont; Mrs. Ada M. Moss, Clifford E. and Mrs. Louise Shinn of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Fordyce G. of Madrid, Nebraska. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, one grandchild having preceded him. Brothers and sisters surviving him are: Walter T. Moul and Clarence P. Moul of Lushton, Mrs. Nellie Gertrude Beery of Kansas City, Mrs. Janie Marion Hager and John David Moul both of Ord, Nebraska. (Willis Moul, the deceased , being the eldest of six children) Mr. Moul joined Hesperian Lodge N. 42, I.O.O.F. in Fairmont, on March 10, 1899. He joined the Fairview Methodist church in the year, 1885. In April, 1909, he transferred his membership to the Grace Methodist church of Fairmont, under the pastorate of Rev. John Gallagher. Brother Moul has ever had the interest of the church at heart, even as a young man, before he ever joined the church, and since joining the church, he has been entrusted with numerous positions of trust and service, all of which he considered as his opportunity of serving his God, his church and his fellowman. He was always loyal, dependable and brotherly in the prosecution of these services. We will miss him here, and in the church militant, but we rejoice in his triumphal entry into the Church Triumphant. We pray that the consoling Spirit of the living God shall comfort those who mourn. Funeral services were held at the Fairmont Methodist church Friday afternoon, October 17, Rev. C.H. Lind officiating, and interment made in the Fairmont cemetery. The children were all present at the funeral except one son, Clifford E. and the brothers and sisters were here except, Walter T. Other relatives present from a distance were C.B. Clithero, Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Clithero and son, Benson, of York and Mrs. O.M. Smith of Lincoln.
