His son, Kenneth, and family live near Dawson. ALLEN A. CRAWLEY Allen A. Crawley, son of Samuel Willis, and Mary Ann Stewart-Crawley, was born at Pawnee City on Jan. 10, 1875, and passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 1956, at the Gordon Nursing Home in Pawnee City, where he had been a resident since July 13. He had attained the age of 81 years, 7 months and 23 days. On Oct. 5, 1898, he was united in marriage to Etta Farno of pawnee City. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm near Burchard, where Mrs. Crawley passed away in 1942. In 1945 Mr. Crawley moved to a farm near Verdon, where he resided until he moved to Humboldt. Mr. Crawley was a member of the Bethel Evangelical United Brethern church at Dawson, and the Humboldt Lodge No. 40 AM &FM. He is survived by a son, Kenneth of Falls City; a brother, Ivan Crawley of Amity, Ore.; four sisters: Mrs. Gertie Fowler, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Mattie Ackerman, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Cravens and Mrs. Jessie Finch, Burchard; two grandchildren, besides a host of friends. Services were held at the Bethel Evangelical United Brethern church at Dawson on Sept. 6, Rev. O. W. Matzke, pastor of the church officiating. Members of the Humboldt Masonic Lodge attended the funeral in a body, and conducted the Masonic grave side service. Burial was in the Pawnee City cemetery.
