Description	:	Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Wednesday, 2 December 1987 CENTRAL CITY - Alma Amalia Peterson, 88, of Central City died Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Litzenberg Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit at Central City. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Solt Funeral Home at Central City. The Rev. John Eriandson will officiate. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery at Lindsay. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Peterson was born July 3, 1899, at Newman Grove, the daughter of Alfred and Gerda Sievers. She was later adopted by the Larson family and attended rural school and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1918. She married Anton Peterson, Jan. 28, 1920, at Salem Lutheran Church at Lindsay. She was a schoolteacher and a homemaker. They farmed south of Lindsay for 28 years. After retiring they moved to Newman Grove. Mr. Peterson died in 1967 and she moved to Central City to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She moved to Merrick Manor in January 1976. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church at Central City. Survivors include three daughters, Phillis Schlesinger of Stromsburg, Mrs. Howard (Eunice) Ceder of Central City and Mrs. Winfred (Eula) Pearson of Columbus; two sons, James A. of Columbus and Bill of Grand Island; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
