Description	:	Eula Pearson, 93, of Columbus, Nebraska, Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Home in Osceola, Nebraska. She was born August 27, 1922, on the family farm near Lindsay, Nebraska, to Anton and Alma (Larsen) Peterson. Eula attended Platte County District #64 Grade School and graduated from Genoa High School, Genoa, Nebraska. Eula’s love for farming started at an early age as she would help her father on the farm as a child. She was born August 27, 1922, on the family farm near Lindsay, Nebraska, to Anton and Alma (Larsen) Peterson. Eula attended Platte County District #64 Grade School and graduated from Genoa High School, Genoa, Nebraska. Eula’s love for farming started at an early age as she would help her father on the farm as a child. After high school graduation, Eula taught in rural one room grade schools for four years prior to her marriage to Winfred Pearson on August 23, 1944, in Lindsay. Eula and Winfred were members of West Hill Baptist Church prior to becoming members of Palestine Baptist Church in rural Platte County. Eula and Winfred farmed together on his family farm in Platte County until retiring and moving into Columbus in 1982. Eula was a 4-H leader and a member of the extension clubs. As a member of Palestine Baptist Church, Eula was involved in the women’s club. When they moved into Columbus, Eula and Winfred became active members of the First Baptist Church. Eula came to love the art of oil painting and was a potter for over 20 years. She was a member of the Columbus Area Artists since 1960. Eula is survived by: son, Doran Pearson; daughters, Peggy Ryan and Joyce Colling; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and brother, Bill Peterson. Eula was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Winfred Pearson; brother, James "Jim" Peterson; sister, Phyllis Schlesinger; and her twin sister, Eunice Ceder. Memorial service on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Columbus. Private family interment in the St. Edward Cemetery. Obituary information from Gass Haney Funeral Home.
